My College Plan Class of 2013 

Our premium comprehensive program walks students and their families step by step through the college planning and application process.

 

 My College Plan


My College Plan guides high school students through the college search and application process during junior and senior year. This is our most popular and comprehensive program, offering step by step assistance. The program includes:

  

4 one-on-one Sessions with Jayne and/or Shan

Sessions Topics Include:

Academic Review

Standardized Testing Plan

Extracurricular Activity Assessment

Development of College Selection Criteria

Development of a Student Profile

College Research Techniques

Organization and Calendaring Techniques

    

Preliminary List of Colleges for Application

Jayne and Shan use the Students individual profile and criteria to develop a personalized list.

Students may join My College Plan anytime during their junior year or the summer prior to their senior year.

  

While Higher Applications encourages family participation, parents are not required to attend all sessions. It is recommended that parents attend Session 2 for the Review of the Preliminary List of Schools. Students and Parents will receive information through email and the My College Plan Student Portal.

 

Fees: $1,250 total, $625 due at Session 1 and $625 on July 15, 2012 if enrolled by March 15 . March 16 the rate raises to $1,500 total.

Private Consultation

Have your questions answered, verify you are on track and ease your fears.Customized to meet your needs, our session discussion about academic coursework, testing, the current college environment, and tips for planning will help your student plan for college.  Private consultations are a good option for those who desire guidance but do not feel the need for our more comprehensive My College Plan program. It is also a good starting point for those that are unsure of their needs.  

 

$150 for a one and a quarter hour session.

 


 

To maximize your college planning process, it is recommended that students enroll in at least 1 private consultation per year and a Boot Camp.

 

Junior year- A Private Consultation .

 

Senior year-1-3 Private Consultations and an Application and Essay Boot Camp.


What is the difference between My College Plan and A La Carte Services?

 

While our A La Carte services offer families the flexibility to tailor services to their needs, My College Plan provides families with the assurance and knowledge that their student is being guided through the entire college planning process.

 

A La Carte Services do not include ongoing personalized communication (e-mail reminders and question/answer service) or Client Workshops.
